Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

VIDOCLICK is operated by Ali Baksh. This policy describes the web app in this repository. If you deploy it, you are responsible for the hosting account and for any provider key you add.

What the service does

VIDOCLICK lets a visitor submit a public TikTok URL. The server validates it, resolves short links on an allowlist, and requests public metadata from TikTok’s oEmbed endpoint. If a media provider is configured, the server requests download or profile data from that provider and streams an allowlisted file back to the browser. The server is not designed to store the media file after the response ends.

Accounts

There is no VIDOCLICK account, password, or user database.

Data on your device

The theme choice is stored in localStorage. The download gallery is stored in IndexedDB in that browser, including metadata, a thumbnail when one could be saved, and the file when it fits. You can delete one item or clear the gallery. Clearing the browser’s site data removes it as well. VIDOCLICK cannot see that gallery from the server.

Contact form

The contact form does not post the message to VIDOCLICK. If no inbox is set in js/config.js, a valid message is copied to your clipboard and you are told it was not sent. If an address is set, your email app opens with the message. Delivery then depends on your email app, not on this site.

Server logs

The API writes a short log line with the HTTP method, path, status code, and duration. It is not supposed to log API keys or full media URLs. Your host (Firebase, Cloud Run, or another Node host) may keep its own request logs under that host’s policy.

Third parties

Cookies

VIDOCLICK does not set its own tracking cookies. Hosting providers may use operational cookies of their own.

Children

VIDOCLICK is not directed at children. Do not use it to collect personal information from anyone.

VIDOCLICK is an independent third-party service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by TikTok or ByteDance.
