How It Works
A straight path from a public link to a real file
- You paste a public URL. The page checks that it is https and on tiktok.com, www.tiktok.com, m.tiktok.com, vm.tiktok.com, or vt.tiktok.com.
- The server resolves short links. vm.tiktok.com and vt.tiktok.com redirects are followed manually, at most five hops. Each hop must stay on those TikTok hosts, use HTTPS, and must not point at a private or local address.
- Public details come from TikTok oEmbed. VIDOCLICK calls
https://www.tiktok.com/oembed. When TikTok includes a caption, creator, or thumbnail, they are shown. When it does not, the preview still uses the official player and the username from the public URL. Missing text is left blank. - Downloads need a provider you choose. Set MEDIA_PROVIDER, PROVIDER_API_KEY, and PROVIDER_HOST on the server. VIDOCLICK maps that provider’s JSON to an original video, a watermark-free file only if one is explicitly returned, and audio only if an audio URL is returned. It does not remove watermarks itself and it does not invent links.
- The file is streamed, not stored on the server. The download proxy accepts only URLs the provider just returned, and only on an allowlisted CDN host, with a size cap and a timeout. The browser shows real byte progress and saves
vidoclick_<id>.mp4,.mp3, or.jpg. - The gallery is local. IndexedDB on your device keeps details, a thumbnail when one exists, and the file when it fits.
VIDOCLICK does not log in to TikTok, scrape private endpoints, or bypass access controls.
