FAQ

Questions people actually hit

Is VIDOCLICK part of TikTok?

No. VIDOCLICK is an independent third-party service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by TikTok or ByteDance.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no login. The gallery lives in this browser only.

Why can I see a preview but not download?

Previews use TikTok’s public oEmbed endpoint, which needs no key. The video, watermark-free, audio, and profile-picture downloads need a media provider configured with environment variables on the server. Until then those actions return “provider not configured”.

Will every video have a watermark-free file?

No. That card is enabled only when the provider returns a separate watermark-free URL. VIDOCLICK does not strip watermarks from a file.

Why is the caption or thumbnail sometimes missing?

TikTok’s current public oEmbed response often includes the official player and video id without a caption, display name, or thumbnail. VIDOCLICK shows the username from the public link and does not fill in the rest.

Where are files stored?

The server streams a file through and does not keep a library. Your browser downloads it to the device and may also keep a copy in the on-device gallery if there is room.

Can I save private videos?

No. Only public links are accepted, and only content you own or have permission to save.

Does this cost money?

The app itself has no accounts or fees. Firebase Hosting can sit on the free Spark plan. Cloud Functions for the API require the paid Blaze plan. You can instead run the same API with node server.js on any Node host. A download provider may have its own key and quota.
